Harvest Buffet at The Star Gold Coast (in the space formerly occupied by the longstanding Food Fantasy) is a decadent and fresh buffet, open seven days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The stunning space boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with dreamy views of the lush pool area. The 500-seat buffet restaurant also features alfresco seating and there’s an exclusive 44-seat private dining room for more intimate gatherings. It’s truly a wonderland of food here, with a carvery station overflowing with succulent meats, Chinese barbecue and Asian-inspired stations, an Italian section with rustic dishes and hand-made pizza and pasta offerings, glorious charcuterie spreads and cheeses, vibrant salads, as well as an eye-catching arrangement of fresh local hot and cold seafood. There’s also a height-appropriate children’s buffet, as well as a very decadent dessert station with an endless series of cakes, slices, ice-creams, hot desserts and a very Willy Wonka-esque 2-metre chocolate fountain.

We ate breakfast at Harvest three times, and also had a prawn buffet dinner there one night. There was always plenty to choose from, with fresh, tasty food available at all times of the service. The prawns were the tastiest I've ever had. Harvest Buffet is the brand new piece of the upgrade puzzle and it is one buffet you are going to want to sample at the earliest available opportunity. The space, previously Food Fantasy, has undergone a major renovation in keeping with The Star Gold Coast’s fancy new aesthetic.
